SS12 Vision of the Production & Facilities Community in 2025 & Beyond

Wednesday, 5 October
372 A/D
Special Session
A Production & Facilities Advisory Committee Workgroup is developing a briefing document (“Green Paper”) to provoke discussion about the rapidly evolving operating environment and its impact on the roles and needs of our function in the decade from 2025-35. At Special Session 03 at ATCE 2021, we presented the preliminary findings from the Phase 1 effort to define the key drivers of change and solicited input for Phase 2. We also had a more focused discussion on automation and the electrification of anything that moved. For 2022, we plan to present findings from Phase 2 about the regional impacts and expectations for change. This special session intends to seek community input, which will help set-up the Phase 3 work of defining the implications for our community, employers and stakeholders. We expect to complete the discussion document in 2023.
