Well Integrity (WI) issues span the entire life of a well, with stewardship extending from planning stages to final well abandonment. Today we have several well integrity industry standards, best-practices and regulation guiding our Oil & Gas practices. The industry is going through a significant transition, causing practitioners to rethink how current well integrity expertise can or should be adapted to current trends. These include the adoption of new digital technologies, well integrity practices for geothermal, carbon storage wells and other new well types. This session will discuss the impact of the energy transition, and how organizations are addressing ESG in their wells portfolios as well as maintaining expertise with current state of the workforce. This session will also address the “where’s” and “how’s” that Well Integrity needs to adapt to these trends.
