Alex Lach is the Manager of AI Development in Operations Technology at Occidental Petroleum. His team applies AI to a wide range of business problems, from automating workflows with agents to using image recognition for emissions reduction and applying deep learning to optimize artificial lift. Over the past decade at Oxy, he has led internal technology teams building software and machine learning solutions. He previously worked as a Reservoir Engineer at ConocoPhillips and holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
