Aziz Rahman, PhD, P.Eng. is an Associate Professor in the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). Prior to joining HBKU, he held positions as an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University - Qatar, an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a lecturer at the University of Alberta, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2010. With over 20+ years of national/international experience and 200+ research publications, his expertise spans Digital Twins, AI-enabled multiphase flow, flow assurance, leak detection, energy systems, and CO2/H2 transport. He has led collaborative research with QatarEnergy LNG, TotalEnergies, Schlumberger, North Oil Company, Syncrude Canada, Birch Scientific, and GRi Simulations, securing approximately USD 5 million in competitive research funding. A Professional Engineer (Alberta) and active member of ASME and SPE, Rahman is committed to advancing intelligent, sustainable, and resilient energy technologies through industry-driven innovation and international collaboration.
