Brian Cook, Founding Partner of NextGen Trades, has always been passionate about hands-on work and the value of trade careers. Growing up in Houston, Texas, Cook's journey began with hands-on experience in an electrical switchgear manufacturing and testing shop with a focus on the oil and gas industry. These early experiences ignited his interest in the trades and set the foundation for his future success.

After attending Texas A&M Kingsville, Cook quickly found that working in an office instead of the field was not his passion. He returned to his skillset in the oil and gas industry and focused on electrical testing services and power automation systems. In 2008, Cook founded Zadok, a company that quickly grew to meet the electrical, automation, and telecommunication needs of various industries, achieving significant success.
