Chet Ozgen is owner and technical director of NITEC LLC, an international oil and gas reservoir engineering consulting firm based in Denver, Colorado. He is also a founding partner of Ridgeway Kite Software Ltd., a commercial reservoir simulation software company, and AIMOO LLC, which develops inverse solutions for nonlinear multi-objective problems using multiple expert agents.

During his 44-year career, Ozgen has developed commercial simulation software and performed or managed more than 100 conventional reservoir studies and more than 100 shale oil and gas studies involving rock mechanics and enhanced oil recovery. He was principal investigator for two US Department of Energy-funded carbon dioxide research projects and co-authored the SPE primer Reservoir Simulation: History Matching and Forecasting. He has chaired and served on several Society of Petroleum Engineers committees and has been an invited speaker at SPE and SPWLA events.

Ozgen holds a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MS in petroleum engineering from Stanford University. He is an SPE Distinguished Member.
