Dr. Nesbitt is a noted national and international energy, resource, microeconomics, modeling, and risk analysis expert. He is the inventor and manager of the world oil/products and world gas models in use by ArrowHead LLC and of their earlier versions in his former company MarketPoint and Altos. Dr. Nesbitt has been in the gas and energy decision analysis and modeling business continuously since 1974, initially with Stanford Research Institute, later as cofounder of his own highly successful consulting company Decision Focus Incorporated (DFI), later as founder of Altos and MarketPoint, later as a Senior Manager at Deloitte, and now as CEO and founder of ArrowHead. He has built the most sophisticated electricity market models in the world and applied them in the merchant power and renewable power era. He works in electricity, gas, and oil storage, which have become increasingly important as some sources have become intermittent and load fluctuates.

He teaches Ethics, Bayesian Statistics, and Decision Analysis at Stanford University, working under the most noteworthy decision and risk analyst in the world (the late Professor Ronald Howard). Dr. Nesbitt brings considerable practical and business experience in helping energy companies and governments understand markets and market issues in making strategic decisions. He teaches in the Management Science and Engineering Department at Stanford University.

Dr. Nesbitt is CEO of Reticle, a potentially game changing company in the desalination and brine remediation space. Reticle aspires to desalinate brackish water in high volumes at 20 percent of the cost of the next best alternative.
