Daniel Kalms is Executive Vice President Technical Services and Chief Technology Officer with Woodside Energy.

Daniel was appointed to Woodside’s Executive Committee in 2020.

His previous roles on the Woodside Executive Committee include leading Woodside’s merger with BHP Petroleum and prior to this leading the Corporate and Legal division.

His previous senior executive roles at Woodside include leading the Scarborough LNG project to FID, leading Woodside’s front-end development function and Woodside’s Australia business unit overseeing the Pluto LNG asset and both operated and non-operated oil assets.

He also led operations as Pluto LNG Plant Manager based in Karratha for the period from start-up in 2011 to establishment of steady state operations in 2014.

Daniel has also worked in commercial, business planning, engineering and projects during his time with Woodside. He started his career working with an international engineering contractor.

Daniel graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical), Graduate Certificate in Project Management and a Master of Business Administration.
