Dr. Faye Gerard
Faye Gerard joined IOGP in late 2023 as the Energy Transition Director and was appointed the Americas Director in 2025. She is seconded from bp and based at IOGP’s Houston office. Gerard has worked in the oil and gas industry for 34 years, and at bp for the last nineteen. Her previous roles at bp include Senior Federal Government Affairs Director, Vice President of Low Carbon and Sustainability at bpX Energy (an onshore oil and gas production subsidiary of bp), Upstream Environmental and Social Technical Authority and other leadership roles in HSE, regulatory, environmental engineering, projects, assurance, OMS, and safety and operational risk management. Gerard began her career at Marathon Oil Company, where she held process engineering, operations and leadership roles in HSE, diversity, and public/community affairs for almost fifteen years.
Gerard holds a Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tuskegee University. She serves on several University advisory boards and as a board member of various community and civic organizations.
