Jitendra Kikani is the vice president of Chevron’s Subsurface organization. He is responsible for all non-exploratory Subsurface related disciplines across the enterprise, including earth sciences, petroleum and reservoir engineering/management, digital platform, and specialized laboratory services.

During his 28-year career at Chevron, Kikani has worked in all the producing basins and has served in positions of increasing responsibility in the Technical Center, Upstream business units, capital projects and regional headquarters.

Kikani was elected to the National Academy of Engineering and is an Honorary member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, having received the highest honor for Technical Excellence and Lifetime Industry Contribution in 2021. Kikani is the author of a textbook on Reservoir Surveillance published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in 2013, as well as several dozen published peer-reviewed technical papers.

Kikani holds a B.S. in petroleum engineering from the Indian School of Mines, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, and a M.S. in mathematics and Ph.D. in petroleum engineering from Stanford University.
