Jose Zaghloul
Jose Zaghloul is senior reservoir engineering advisor at Continental Resources, where he supports reservoir performance evaluation and enhanced oil recovery development in conventional and unconventional assets.
Zaghloul has more than 30 years of global experience in primary, secondary, and tertiary recovery, including waterflooding, continuous gas injection, enhanced coalbed methane, and miscible-gas huff-and-puff EOR. Before joining Continental Resources, he held senior reservoir engineering positions at BP America, BHP Billiton, Ecopetrol, and Chesapeake Energy, contributing to the design, modeling, and operation of major EOR pilots.
His technical expertise includes fluid characterization, PVT and equation-of-state modeling, rate-transient analysis, fracture modeling, and integrated reservoir model development. He is a frequent industry speaker and received the 2025 SPE Mid-Continent North America Award for Reservoir Description and Dynamics.
Zaghloul holds a PhD in petroleum and natural gas engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
