Mike Brunton is global technical advisor for flow measurement at Halliburton. He has more than 30 years of oil and gas experience in surface well testing, flow measurement operations, permanent downhole gauge systems, downhole and surface sampling, engineering, and global technical support. Brunton's career spans commissioning, field operations, project engineering, service leadership, and technical advisory roles. In his current position, he provides subject-matter expertise in advanced flow measurement technologies, metrology, operational deployment, diagnostics, and technical content development. He supports global technology selection, evaluation, qualification, and operational readiness across the measurement lifecycle, from acquisition through data assurance, delivery, and validation. Brunton also serves on the SPE Flow Measurement Technical Section leadership team.
