Sankalp Bhan
Sankalp Bhan is a senior research scientist at Amazon.com where for the past 5 years, he has designed the guidance, navigation, and control system for Amazon's MK30 delivery drone. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis where has taught control and estimation theory for the past 7 years. Prior to Amazon, he designed control systems for Boeing military aircraft including fighter aircraft, drones, and weapon systems, and he started his career in the oil and gas industry at Shell Oil Company. Bhan holds a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Systems Science and Mathematics, along with Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering—all from Washington University in St. Louis.
