Timothy Latimer
Tim Latimer is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fervo Energy, a company pioneering the commercialization of next-generation geothermal power. By adapting proven technologies such as horizontal drilling and fiber optic sensing, Fervo is unlocking geothermal as a reliable source of 24/7 carbon-free energy.
Under Tim’s leadership, Fervo has raised over $1 billion in capital since 2017 and is building the world’s first 500 MW enhanced geothermal project, set to begin operations in Southwest Utah in 2026. The company has worked with Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, Google, Southern California Edison, and other leaders in power generation, building a reputation for delivery and leadership in next-generation geothermal.
Tim began his career as a drilling engineer at BHP before earning an MBA and an MS in Environment and Resources at Stanford University. He has been named to MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 and the TIME100 Next list for his leadership in advancing climate and energy innovation. Tim also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
