Tracy Moffett is a Senior Principal Engineer for Well Management at ExxonMobil, with 25 years of experience specializing in well integrity, completions, intervention, abandonment, and well management. Over the course of her career, she has held technical and leadership roles in research, engineering, and operations, supporting conventional and unconventional assets across the globe.
In her current role, she leads global strategy, technology development, and best practices for well performance, integrity, reliability, well intervention, and abandonment. She works closely with ExxonMobil's global assets and technical experts to advance well management capabilities across onshore and offshore operations, including carbon capture and storage (CCS). She has led ExxonMobil's efforts to develop strategies and processes for assessing and managing legacy well risks in CCS projects, working with project teams and industry partners to advance best practices and support safe, effective CO₂ storage.

She was a contributing author to IOGP Report 676, Well Abandonment and Integrity Evaluation for CO₂ Storage, leading the section on plugging and abandonment considerations for legacy wells. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
