Trey Shaffer is vice president, key clients, at Resource Environmental Solutions (RES), where he leads the firm’s key client program across the energy and power sectors. He develops enterprise-level relationships and integrates RES’s ecological restoration, mitigation, and water-resource capabilities into programmatic solutions that support long-term environmental and business performance. Shaffer has more than 35 years of experience in environmental consulting, commercial leadership, and operational management, including more than two decades in senior leadership roles at ERM and earlier operational leadership with Boots & Coots. He has served the Society of Petroleum Engineers for more than 20 years, including as technical director for health, safety, environment, security, and social responsibility on the SPE International Board, chair of the SPE Gulf Coast Section, and leader of the Sustainable Development Technical Section, where he helped advance the Gaia program. Shaffer is an SPE Distinguished Member and has received multiple SPE honors. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
