Edna Michelle Bisso Bi Mba, born in Libreville (Gabon) in 1989, is a graduate petroleum engineer (M.Sc) of the Clausthal University of Technology (Germany) and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie, Lorraine (France). She started her professional career in 2013 as simulation reservoir engineer, then worked as operation reservoir engineer and was responsible for the execution of all reservoir surveillance and field development studies as well as for the monitoring of the production data of Mittelplate oilfield, Germany’s largest oilfield. In July 2023, Edna started a new challenge as Lab service manager with 14 direct reports at the Technology & Service Center of Wintershall Dea being responsible for all geoscience, digital rocks, core analysis and laboratory service projects.

The mother of two is passionate about gender equality and inclusive work environment. She is Co-Chair of the Wintershall Dea Women’s Network leading an intercultural and interdisciplinary group of 30 people with the long-term goal to enable activities which will lead to a more equal gender split within the organization and in the energy sector, at all hierarchical levels. Furthermore she volunteers as active young professional officer and Board member of the German Section SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers).
