What airport should I fly into?
- William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is approximately 10 miles (16 km) from the George R. Brown Convention Center and is often the most convenient option for domestic travelers due to its closer proximity to downtown.

What is the weather typically like in Houston in October?
October in Houston is generally warm and pleasant, making it a great time to visit. Daytime temperatures typically range from the low 80s°F (27–29°C), while evenings and early mornings are often cooler, with temperatures in the mid-60s°F (18–20°C).
We recommend wearing lightweight clothing during the day and bringing a light jacket or sweater for air-conditioned venues and cooler evenings. While October is typically drier than the summer months, occasional rain showers are still possible, so a compact umbrella is also a good idea.
